Bruce & Cindy McMartin - Haiti
Bruce McMartin teaches at the Séminaire de Théologie Evangélique de Port-au-Prince (STEP) in the capital city of Haiti. STEP offers Bible school and seminary level education for national church leaders. The school has some 200 students. Cindy is active in many local ministries, particularly with women. Their household is a meeting place and transit point for local believers as well as visiting ministry workers. Bruce and Cindy work in close contact with many Haitian leaders. Glenwood's men had the chance to meet one of these leaders, Wawa Jean-Baptiste, during First Things First in July of 2008. Wawa is a professor at STEP whose ministry extends beyond the seminary walls to disciple and shepherd pastors in rural Haitian communities.
The McMartins have been in Haiti since 1982. They have three adult children: Rebecca, Joel, and Michelle.
