CENV stands for Complexe Educatif Nouvelle Vie. Translated, it means "New Life Education Complex."
CENV is a school located in Merger de Sibert, Haiti. The school is led by Johny and Rosadite Philippe. CENV began in 2005 and currently there are now over 300 students and 14 teachers on staff. CENV functions under very limited and difficult conditions due to the low economic level of those families whose children attend this school. Many parents are not able to pay for their children's schooling. As a result, CENV must depend on outside help in order for the school to function. Their needs include funds for school materials, for school equipment (benches, tables, chalk boards), and for salaries for professors.
Each child from Merger who is helped and supported is most likely one fewer who will end up on the streets and in a life of crime.
The objective of the Merger Student Sponsorship Program at Glenwood is to help CENV fulfill its vision and mission.
If you sponsor a child and would like to see a current picture of your student, please go to the CENV Students page. Please note that you must be logged into your GCC account in order to access the information available on the CENV Student page. If you would like an account, please register here.
