LIFE Group Discussion Questions 2-4-18

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 6:1-13

1. What difference does it make in your daily life to know that God is holy?

2. What stands out to you the most from this week’s sermon? Why?

3. Read through Isaiah 6:1-8. Even though it is a short passage, it is filled with vivid descriptions that are meant to help us join in Isaiah’s experience. Slowly and prayerfully walk through the passage trying to both understand the truths being communicated and the experience that Isaiah is going through. In what ways is Isaiah’s experience unique and in what ways would you say that it is the experience of every true believer in Christ?

4. Read Isaiah 6:8-13. Describe the mission that Isaiah is being called to carry out. How do you think you would respond if God called you to this kind of a mission? Does the passage provide any hope for this mission?

5. How can we grow daily to see and experience more of who God really is? Who we really are? What God has done for us in Christ? Can you think of ways that we can help each other to know God more fully and to have an Isaiah type of response to his call on our lives?
