Pray for the persecuted church

The first and second Sundays in November are widely recognized as the International Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.  They serve as reminders of the 100+ million believers worldwide who face persecution for their faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  In over sixty countries, 300+ Christians are killed each month because they follow Jesus. Over 200 church buildings and Christian-owned properties are destroyed each month.

Hats and gloves ministry

Each year we distribute sandwiches, hats, and gloves the day after Thanksgiving to those in need.  You can help in many ways: providing lunch meat, making sandwiches, making hats, and/or traveling to areas in Portland and Vancouver to hand them out.  Bring your leftover turkey (or other meat) to the kitchen at Glenwood on Friday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m.  After making sandwiches, we will carpool together.

Operation Christmas Child is an annual ministry in which Glenwood Community Church has participated for many years. As a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child is simple in premise: by providing a shoebox filled with both practical and playful gifts to a child in need, a doorway is opened for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be shared.

Options360 Baby Bottles

Dear Glenwood:

Thank you for your participation in our Baby Bottle Campaign. Glenwood raised $2,651.24.  That is fantastic!  So far the campaign has raised over $15,000.  We are so excited!  Thank you for helping us raise the much-needed money for our clinics. Summer is usually a very lean time for us and this will help us out so much.
