Operation Christmas Child is an annual global ministry in which Glenwood Community Church has participated for many years. As a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child is simple in premise: by providing a shoebox filled with both practical and playful gifts to a child in need, a doorway is opened for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be shared. Just as a gift given in love communicates to any one of us that we are loved and cared for, so does an Operation Christmas Child shoebox communicate to a child who may or may not know such love.

What is a winsome response to common objections to Christianity on topics ranging from homosexuality, the problem of evil and the reliability of the Bible? Leading European Christian apologist, Stefan Gustavsson will be our guest speaker. He is the director of Apologia – a Center for defending the Christian faith and makes his home in Stockholm, Sweden. Stefan travels widely with apologetic teaching and training and is often involved in university evangelism and public debates.

We must know God accurately to love God truly. Come learn to adore the God of glory and be changed. The class begins September 17th in Room 302 during the 9am worship hour.
