Saturday

Today we had the morning off, so Mason and Lauren took us up to the look out on top of the mountain. It was amazing to see the scope of Port au Prince from that view. God certainly created a beautiful country.

This afternoon, we had the key ceremony for the house! We all went over and met with the family and crew. Everyone went inside and people from both teams spoke about the experience from the week. The Haitian and Glenwood teams each sang a couple of hymns, and the family members each spoke about how grateful they were. This family had been living in a tent on the property, and every time it rained they would watch the water wash under the beds and over their floor. They didn't think there was any way that they would be able to escape those conditions. They are so very grateful to God for the provision of this house and the teams that came together to build it.

Thank you for praying for us, and I would encourage you to keep praying for Zizi's family and the Haitian building crew, that they would know the love of Jesus more, and choose to follow Him. Pray for the country of Haiti, that the believers here would have influence in their communities, and that Jesus would be known. Our flight is tomorrow morning, so we would also ask for traveling grace as we come back. Bondye beni ou! (God bless you!)
