SonHarvest County Fair Volunteer Opportunities!

Join Uncle Zeke and Auntie Opal on their farm where we'll learn through Jesus' parables how to grow a crop of love, sprout joy, plant peace, fertilize forgiveness, and pick a bushel of kindness!  It's sure to be a blue ribbon year at SonHarvest County Fair!

Below you will see important dates, as well as the oportunity to serve at our VBC camp on June 24-28, 2024 from 9:00am - 12:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Here are the dates for your calendar:

  • Friday, May 31st - 6:30-9:00pm for our VBC KIck-off Meeting
  • Tuesday, June 18th - 9:00am-12:00pm for our decoration and preparation day
  • Saturday, June 22nd - 9:00am - 12:00pm for our VBC Send-off Meeting
  • Sunday, June 23rd - 1:00 - 5:00pm for classroom and stage set up
  • M-F, June 24-28 - VBC Camp 9:00am - 12:00pm (Friday will end closer to 1:00pm to allow for take-down and clean-up.)

VBC Camp Descriptions
  • Pre-Camp Team*:  Oversees VBC staff children, K- 6th grades in free play activities from 7:45am - 8:45am each morning, June 26-30.
  • Decorator Team*:  Assists in preparing decorations for classrooms on Monday, June 19th, 11am-5pm.  Preparation may include tracing, cutting, coloring, and painting using materials provided.  Work can be completed off-site.

* Above teams are not required to attend the training meetings.



(Please note that K-6th grades reflect the grade level the child enters in the fall)
Volunteer Information
If the volunteer is a student, please select grade for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. *Please note: We request the parent/guardian of all 7th graders and 8th graders, who are serving for the first time, to also serve as their child's mentor.*

Please note the required meetings:
Kick-off -- Friday, May 31st, 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Send-off -- Saturday, June 22, 9:00am-1:00 p.m.
