Hello Glenwood Families!

Thank you for joining us online as we worship together from home. We pray that our weekly Glenwood Kids videos will encourage you in Christ Jesus during this interim.  As you share this link, we look forward to the many ways God will use this unique time in our history to build up the body of Christ, not just at home but in "all the world" through our digital communication.

As we step into the next weeks, months and year, let us anticipate new ways for God to work out His purposes in our lives.  Above all, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."  Galatians 6:9-10

Will He not care for us much more?

This past Thursday was the first day of spring and the daffodils splashed vibrant sunshine along our roadsides in celebration of the season. Interestingly, no weaver labored to spin thousands of little golden outfits for each of them, and they have even bloomed by the hundreds without toil. If Jesus had been in our region in his day, I think He would have undoubtedly crowned the daffodil as more finely dressed than King Solomon.

I am so thankful for the ways Jesus speaks to our every human concern. In Matthew 6:25-34, He shows us how He cares for the flowers and the birds, and then assures us He will care for us much more. Even in the uncertainty of the outcome of the corona-virus, we can be confident that His care for us is deep and that He understands our greatest concerns even more than we do.

So, as we spend another Sunday in our homes in an effort to limit the spread of the virus, we thought we'd send you a mini-Sunday-lesson to encourage you and your family with Jesus' words from Matthew 6:25-34. After your read Matthew 6:25-34 together, you can watch the video, Don't Worry and talk about what Jesus meant when He asked,

-"Can worry add a single hour (or cubit) to your life?"
-"Is life not more than food and clothes?"
-And how is it that we "store up for ourselves treasure in heaven?" (Matt. 6:19-21)

If you'd like, you can also enjoy this PDF iconcoloring activity together. Finally, don't miss tuning in to a special video message from Pastor Paul on the website!

We pray a joy-filled Sunday as we gather in heart!
