2021 - Six Summer Sundays Volunteer Opportunity

Join an INDOOR or OUTDOOR team for our Sunday summer session from August 1 - September 5!            Team training is Sunday, July 25th at 9am in the Fellowship Hall


The INDOOR Team serves the infant - kindergarteners in their usual Sunday classrooms.

  • During this 6-week session, the infant through kindergarten classes will learn about the Parables of Jesus and will enjoy age-appropriate outdoor activities in the fenced grassy area outside their classrooms.
  • All team members arrive 20 minutes before the service begins (8:40 a.m. and 10:10 a.m.)


The OUTDOOR Team serves the 1st-5th graders for "Sunday Summer Camp" at the north treed area of our campus where the campers will learn about the parables of Jesus and participate in a variety of engaging activities.

  • 1st hour volunteers help with set-up outdoors beginning at 8:15am.
  • 2nd hour volunteers help with take-down after "camp," beginning at 11:45pm.
  • All team members meet for prayer at 8:25am at the fire pit in the treed area of the north campus.

Outdoor job descriptions:

  • Greeter: The greeters check children in and out of outdoor camp at a kiosk in the north parking area. For the remaining part of the morning, greeters assist with the morning activities, as available.
  • Activity Assistant: The activity leader plans the activities (this year's activites include science, crafts/games, and slight-of-hand tricks planned by our leaders from our Glenwood Kids online episodes) and the assistants work with these leaders to execute the activity during each hour. 
  • Bible Story Facilitator- The facilitator introdouces the 3-4 minute Gospel Project Parable video and follows the video with questions to help the student understand and apply the parable to his/her life.
