2022 - Sunday Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunity!

Sunday summer camp

Join an INDOOR or OUTDOOR team for our Sunday summer session from August 7 - September 11!            

Team training is Sunday, July 31st at 10:30 a.m. in room 105

The INDOOR Team serves the infant - kindergarteners in their usual Sunday classrooms.

  • During this 6-week session, the infant through kindergarten classes will enjoy age-appropriate indoor Bible activities and outdoor recreational activities in the fenced grassy area outside their classrooms. 
  • Each team consists of three or more team members who share the preparation for the weekly lesson activities which include the Bible story, a craft and/or game activities.  Curriculum is provided.
  • All INDOOR team members arrive 20 minutes before the service begins (8:40 a.m. and 10:10 a.m.).

The OUTDOOR Team serves the 1st-5th graders for "Sunday Summer Camp" at the north treed area of our campus where the campers will learn about the wonder of God and His Word while participating in a variety of activities.

  • 1st hour volunteers help with set-up outdoors beginning at 8:00am.
  • 2nd hour volunteers help with take-down after "camp," beginning at 11:45pm.
  • All team members meet for prayer at 8:25am at the fire pit in the treed area of the north campus.

Outdoor job descriptions:

  • Greeter: The greeters check children in and out of outdoor camp at a kiosk in the north parking area. For the remaining part of the morning, greeters assist with the morning activities.
  • Game or Craft Leader: The game or craft leader plans the games or crafts that correspond to the lesson.  
  • Game or Craft Assistant: The game or craft assistant assists the leaders in preparing and executing the activity each Sunday. 
  • Bible Storyteller- The Bible storyteller tells the BIble story each week.
