2024 - Sunday Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunity!

Join an INDOOR or OUTDOOR team for our Sunday summer session from August 4 - September 8!            

Team training is rescheduled for Sunday, July 28th at 10:15 a.m. in room 102. 

The INDOOR Team serves the infant - kindergarteners in their usual Sunday classrooms.

  • During this 6-week session, the infant through kindergarten classes will enjoy age-appropriate indoor Bible activities and outdoor recreational activities in the fenced grassy area outside their classrooms. 
  • Each team consists of three or more team members who share the preparation for the weekly lesson activities which include the story of how God worked in the life of 19th century missionary, Amy Carmichael, a craft and/or game activities.  Curriculum is provided.
  • All INDOOR team members arrive 20 minutes before the service begins (8:40 a.m. and 10:10 a.m.).

The Outdoor Team serves 1st - 5th graders for Sunday Summer Camp at the north treed area of our campus. Through weekly stories, crafts, and games, we'll discover how God worked in the life of 19th century missionary Amy Carmichael. 

  • 1st hour volunteers help with set-up outdoors beginning at 8:00am.
  • 2nd hour volunteers help with take-down after "camp," beginning at 11:45pm.
  • All team members meet for prayer at 8:25am at the fire pit in the treed area of the north campus.

OUTDOOR Job descriptions:

  • Greeter: The greeters check children in and out of outdoor camp under the awning in the north parking area. For the remaining part of the morning, greeters assist with the morning activities.
  • Game Team: The game team plans and executes the games that reinforce the weekly Bible verse.
  • Craft Team: The craft team plans the crafts that supports the lesson point or Bible verse.
  • Mission Biography Storyteller- The Mission Biography storyteller tells the story of Amy Carmichael each week.
