Wednesday, Feb 11 Part 2
Bonjour! This evening has been filled with good conversations and lots of laughter! I can't tell you enough how blessed I am by this team. Though at the moment I have no clue why Emil and Dave are doubled over crying from laughter!
The transportation strike is over and we were able to go to Merger! And what a blessing that was! As Dave and Annie looked for their sponsored child, he ended up being the first student the introduced themselves to and finally getting to meet him was sweet indeed. I was able to meet the Juphencia, the young girl the youth group sponsors, and never have I cherished a hug so much! It's moments like these that remind me how even from far away we can still make a difference in individual lives here in Haiti.
We helped work on the kindergarten building and I must say, I was impressed at how hard our guys can work! Us ladies on the other hand, I was impressed with the Haitian crews patience as they put up with having to teach us ladies how to do the different jobs! But teach us they did, and next thing you know we'll be building buildings all by ourselves. :)
We also were blessed by getting to share dinner with Wa Wa. He shared about STEP and some of the things God is doing there.
Some encouragement for all of you from Pastor Dimoch, "I thank God when I see you because you help us go for it here in Haiti." Though he was talking to us, it applies to you as well. It's your support and your prayers that make G.O. Teams possible! And it is your prayers and support for the various ministries that help make them possible!
I know we will all sleep hard tonight, sunshine and hard work makes for tired Americans!
