Glenwood Community Church

Adult Equipping Classes

Our Adult Equipping Classes begin in January.

First Hour, 9:00am in room 302 - The Gospel According to Isaiah, led by Wayne Cochran. In this class we will study Isaiah 52:13-53:12 and seek to understand Isaiah's words in light of the Gospel. Class begins January 19, 2020

Second Hour, 10:30am in room 305 - The Parent Connection, led by Nancy Jackson & Tim Furnanz.  While dealing with the regular demands of family life, it's easy to lose God's big-picture plan for us as both parents and grandparents.  In this class, we will discuss Paul Tripp's book, Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family.  These principles will clarify our vision, purpose and opportunity in influencing the young people in our lives.

The series begins Sunday, January 12 and will meet every other week for 8 sessions ending April 19.   In preparation for the class you can purchase the book new or used online.  The class format is interactive and will be enhanced by reading chapters each week.  Please read the introduction,"Ambassadors," and chapter 1, "Calling" for our first class next week.

We heartily welcome a diverse range of ages and experience from which we all can benefit.  This book is for parents and of all ages--20 to 100!  We look forward to you seeing you on the 12th!

On Saturday, January 25, we will be hosting an Adult Equipping Seminar, Creativity and the Christian. Led by Dr. Ryan Lister and Pastor Thomas Terry.
