Our church family has much to be thankful for. Your family is invited to our Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 24, at 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center. We will worship the Lord together, celebrate communion, and commemorate those who follow Jesus' command to be baptized.

Advent is a time to reflect and give thanks to God for His willingness to become human for our sake. In many ways, the world around us moves in the opposite direction - busying ourselves with holiday shopping and other events that shift the focus to ourselves. This year we’d like to prepare and combat this busyness and mindset by encouraging simplicity and generosity. This year we’ll be celebrating Advent, focusing on the "Worthy One", for four Sundays from December 8th – 29th.

On Sunday, October 27, the members of Glenwood voted to accept Ben Cunningham as the next Senior Pastor of Glenwood Community Church. We are excited to follow the Lord’s leading for the next chapter of our church family. Ben brings a trusted experience and perspective to the role, and we are thrilled to partner together in the mission of Jesus. Thank you to the Search Committee and Church Board for your prayerful pursuit of the Lord's leading.

Join us on Sunday, November 10, in the Worship Center from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. for a fun evening of friendly team competition for all ages and physical abilities. We will have a dessert reception following the games to encourage bragging rights and excuse-making. Quilt Show - Sunday, October 13, 9:00 - 11:45 a.m.
The Glenwood Quilting ministry invites you to see the quilts displayed in the foyer this morning. Quilts are made in various sizes and donated to many organizations and individuals. Newcomers are welcome to join us-- you don't need to sew to volunteer. The quilting ministry meets most Thursdays in the fellowship hall. You can stop by the display to learn more about this ministry.

The program will include the works of Gluck, Bizet, Bach and Rachmaninoff, as well several familiar traditional songs and hymns, arranged by Colleen Adent.
