Bible with iPhone, earbuds and tea

The Bible Project's Read Scripture Reading Plan is a plan that takes you through the Bible in one year. The plan also includes short animated videos produced by The Bible Project that help explain the weekly reading.

2018 Bible reading plans are available on our website at glenwoodcc.org/reading or at the Ministry Information Table in the Foyer.

We are delighted to have Rob Trenckmann as our guest speaker this Sunday morning, December 9. God began calling Rob and his wife Liz to Central and Eastern Europe in 2001, when they were at Multnomah Bible College. Rob and Liz moved to Hungary in April of 2012 as the first Josiah Venture missionaries in that country. Rob served on the Glenwood staff for many years leading Student Ministries. Rob will be speaking on Psalm 126 with a sermon entitled “Exile to Joy”.

Two great studies will begin on January 14th and 15th -- check out the descriptions below for more information.     Precept

This winter, Precept will be studying 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles.  Watch a "man after God's own heart" ascend to the throne, then descend into sin. See how a covenant-keeping God turns a man from the worst sins to a victorious finish.

The cost of this study is $20.  Precept meets on Monday nights at 6:30pm or Tuesday mornings at 9:15am.

In October, we welcomed Erik Buchterkirchen to the Glenwood staff as our Director of Young Adult Ministries.

A native of the Silicon Valley, Erik grew up in Santa Clara, CA. During his time in college, he met his wife Rebekah, and they got married in 2015. Throughout his life, Erik has participated in various ministry venues, from worship, interfaith dialogues, and leading multiple mission trips to Latin American countries and throughout the state of Utah. Most recently, he served as a High School Pastor for four years in Auburn, CA.

Youth choir

We invite all 3rd grade through college-aged students to participate in our Thanksgiving Celebration Choir!

Hutchisons

The Hutchisons are moving to South Africa for 2-3 years where Allen will be attending Stellenbosch University to pursue a PhD in Old Testament.  The church family is invited to help send them off on Sunday, November 4 at 12:15 p.m. in the Worship Center. If you’d like to thank Allen and his family, a basket for cards will be available at the Send-Off.

Operation Christmas Child ~ Shoeboxes will be available October 14 and 21. You can return them Sundays, October 28, November 4 and 11.

Here are some suggestions for your shoebox: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebooks, paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. Don’t forget, you may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself, your family, or group. If you include your name and an address, the child may be able to write back.  For more information, visit glenwoodcc.org/occ.
