On November 22, Pastor Paul invited the congregation to continue supporting the school in Merger, Haiti (CENV) by contributing toward the construction of a new kindergarten building. This new building will provide multiple kindergarten classrooms. There are now almost 400 students enrolled at CENV; 100 students were enrolled in Kindergarten last year. Our two week Discovering Glenwood class introduces Glenwood Community Church (our mission, people and local and global ministries) to you and helps you connect to ministry and service at Glenwood. The class is led by Glenwood's Senior Pastor Paul Jackson and Gary Blevins.
The first and second Sundays in November are widely recognized as the International Days of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. They serve as reminders of the 100+ million believers worldwide who face persecution for their faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In over sixty countries, 300+ Christians are killed each month because they follow Jesus. Over 200 church buildings and Christian-owned properties are destroyed each month.

Haitian Perle coffee is being served at the coffee kiosk (west end of the Foyer) on Sunday mornings. The Haitian Perle Coffee Project is a ministry of Vision d’Antioche, a Haitian mission organization which supports the mission of evangelical Haitian churches. David Bufford, who is a member of Glenwood, is on the board of the Perle Foundation. All proceeds go to Vision d’Antioche.
Today, Thursday 10/15, and tomorrow, Friday 10/16, Clark County is scheduled to complete the final layer of asphalt on 119th Street from 72nd Ave. eastward to 87th Ave. Tomorrow afternoon (Friday 10/16) from about 4:00pm until sometime early evening, Clark County will close our 119th St. entrance and place a final asphalt layer on that portion of the project. The closure should not impact this weekend.
On Sunday, October 4th, the Quilters at Glenwood Community Church displayed clothing they made for Hatian children. In addition to sewing quilts for local ministries, they took some time to assemble over two hundred brightly colored dresses and pairs of shorts. A Glenwood Global Outreach team will take these donations to distribute in Merger in early 2016.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through simple, gift-filled shoe boxes and the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.

The Disc Golf Course will close during the next two Sundays in September, the 6th and the 13th, starting at 7 a.m. The course will reopen those days around 1:00 p.m.
