Life of Abraham

Abraham, called from a pagan family in Mesopotamia, believed God’s promise, and his faith was credited as righteousness. In fact, Abraham is called the "friend of God.”  Even though he lived 2,000 years before The Cross, Abraham had faith in God’s ultimate provision. How can we, living 2,000 years after The Cross, learn from Abraham's life as recorded in Scripture?  Jesus said that "many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham.” May we sit at that table with Noah, Job, the roman centurion, Rahab the Canaanite prostitute, and all the others called from their pagan world to trust in God!
