Marriage by Design, Sin by Choice

Session Date:
Sunday, April 19, 2015
Speaker:
Bible Text:
Genesis 1:27-28; Romans 1:26-27

As we discussed the issue of homosexuality in Romans 1:26-27, Pastor Paul shared a number of resources during his April 19th sermon.  These resources are very helpful in the way they emphasize union with Christ as the core identity of any believer. We might not agree with every detail/point, but very much appreciate their emphasis on God's redemptive and sustaining work in the death and resurrection of Jesus, the power of the Holy Spirit and the community found in Christ's body, the church.

Is God Anti-Gay? (Questions Christians Ask) by Sam Allberry

Washed and Waiting: Reflections on Christian Faithfulness and Homosexuality by Wesley Hill.
From Amazon's description: Hill gives us a glimpse of what it looks like to wrestle firsthand with God's "No" to same-sex relationships... He advocates neither unqualified "healing" for those who struggle, nor their accommodation to temptation, but rather faithfulness in the midst of brokenness.
