Winter 2019 Bible Study Choices

Two great studies will begin on January 14th and 15th -- check out the descriptions below for more information.

This winter, Precept will be studying 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles.  Watch a "man after God's own heart" ascend to the throne, then descend into sin. See how a covenant-keeping God turns a man from the worst sins to a victorious finish.

The cost of this study is $20.  Precept meets on Monday nights at 6:30pm or Tuesday mornings at 9:15am.

Numbers:  Learning Contentment in a Culture of More

Something in us aches for more, and our culture offers us many suggestions. A bigger house, a better friend, more stuff -- then we could be content.  But there is good news!  The Bible tells us that we can learn to be content.

During this study we will follow the story of the Israelites as they wandered through the wilderness. Though God led them out of slavery and provided for all their needs, they grumbled and chose to go their own way instead of following God's instructions. As we dig into their story, beginning in Exodus and quickly moving into Numbers, we will learn how to be content while still being authentic about the difficulties of life, accept short-term hardship in light of the greater good of God's ultimate deliverance, and change our perspective from a posture of fear to a posture of faith. Together we will learn real, lasting contentment as we discover more of our incredible God, the only One who can help us to experience the promised land of peace and contentment in the midst of life's joys and pains.

Leslie Combs will be teaching this seven week study.  The cost of this study is $15.  Women's Bible Study meets on Monday nights at 7:00pm or Tuesday mornings at 9:15am.

Please note that childcare space is limited and will only be available to those who pre-register.  Online sign-ups will be available in mid-December or sign-up in the Foyer on January 6th and 13th.
