Women's Bible Study Choices for Fall 2023

Fall is just around the corner and so is the start of Precept and Women's Bible Study.  Won't you join us?

Precept:  Matthew Part 1 – The King and the Kingdom of Heaven

Who is the promised Messiah, the King who will sit on the throne of David?  What is His kingdom?  What is the character and lifestyle of those who are a part of this kingdom?  Matthew Part 1 answers these questions and brings you face-to-face with the long-awaited Jewish Messiah.  Walk with Jesus through the towns and villages of the Galilee, see the miracles He performs – healing the sick, casting out demons, calming the seas.  Listen to His teaching as He explains His kingdom.  And then evaluate your life against the standard Jesus holds high and ask:  Does my life show that I’m part of His kingdom?

The fall session of Precept begins on Monday, September 11 at 6:30pm or Tuesday, September 12 at 9:15am in Room 305.  This class goes through November 6 and 7*.

Cost $20

Bible study students who are unable to commit to the level of homework level in this Precept Upon Precept Bible study may wish to choose the corresponding In & Out workbook. In & Out Bible Studies cover the same material with less homework required.   Please contact Sally Wallace at 360-901-5145 for additional information or quetsions.

Women's Bible Study

The fall session of Women's Bible Study begins on Monday, September 11 at 7:00pm or Tuesday, September 12 at 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall for a ten-week* study of 1, 2 & 3 John by Jen Wilkin.

"Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you." 1 John 2:24

How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us? In these three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

Cost of the study is $25.
