A reminder of upcoming meeting location and schedule changes for FTF:
Friday, June 26:
Due to the use of all Main Building rooms during VBC week, First Things First (FTF) will move from our regular location (the Library) to the House on Friday, June 26 @ 6am. The House is the brick façade, ranch-style house, 100 yards west of the Main Building.
NOTE: Parking is very limited at the House, so we ask that you park in the Main Building lot and hike across the ‘lawn’ to the House, leaving the House-parking open for those who are older.
Our prayers of love and support are with the following families for the recent loss of loved ones.
The family of Arlene Kielman. Arlene passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was a long-time attender of Glenwood, mother of Sandy Fox, Sharon Kielman, and Sue Vail; and grandmother to Debbie Marshall. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16 at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
We look forward to welcoming 300 VBC campers to SonHarvest County Fair on June 22-26. Our camp is free to all attendees. If you would like to sponsor a camper, please put your donation in the envelope (provided in your bulletin) and place it in the offering. You can also turn in your sponsorship to the church office. The suggested donation is $15.
We’ve got lots going on for high school students this summer! Below is a list of some great opportunities for students to connect with each other, grow in their faith, and serve others (click here to download one for your fridge). For more information about these events, visit Glenwood’s online calendar at http://glenwoodcc.org/calendar.

Welcome to the new glenwoodcc.org! Our hope is to provide information and resources for the people of Glenwood Community Church, those curious about our church body, and those interested in the Jesus of the Bible. A major goal in designing the new site was ease of use on both mobile devices and computers (forty percent of our site visits come from mobile devices). We simplified the menu structure for easier navigation and increased the use of images, recognizing their value in visual communication.
Are you on Facebook? Glenwood is too! On our various Facebook pages you will find encouraging words, helpful information and pictures of current events. This is a great way to stay connected with happenings at Glenwood.
Jean Dorlus is one of Glenwood's global outreach partners in Haiti. We are grateful for his health and recovery.
”I would probably die within a year or so,” Dorlus said. ”I was actually making arrangements to die...”
Things looked bleak, but then Dorlus told his troubles to a friend, who told the story to another friend who happened to be working as a missionary in Haiti from Calvary Church in St. Peters, Missouri.
”It is quite amazing how God brought everything together,” said Pastor Curt Neff.
The February 2015 Haiti G.O. Team had a wonderful trip building relationships (and buildings). Be sure to check out their updates on the Glenwood Facebook page!

High School Students are invited to attend the Winter Retreat on January 9-11 at Eagle Fern Camp. The brochures are available in Room 305 (High School room upstairs). Please join us for a 6 week study in the book of Judges studying the life of Gideon. Gideon by Priscilla Shirer reminds each of us that our weakness is God's strength. Gideon's story involves far more than a wet fleece and a battle won with 300 soldiers. His epic victory actually tells of one man's struggle with his own weakness - and the One True God who transformed it into triumph.
The Haiti G.O. Team has been hard at work this past week and has shared daily updates! Check out their stories and pictures at glenwoodcc.org/goteam.
