Beliefs

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Genesis 3:22; Psalm 2:7; Psalm 110:1; Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; 1 John 5:7

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and is true God and true man. Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-20; John 1:1-14; John 8:58

We believe that man was created in the image of God; and that he sinned and that he thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and all that reach moral responsibility are held accountable as sinners in thought, word, and deed. Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6; Romans 5:12

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and as a substitutional sacrifice; and that all that believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and resurrection. Romans 4:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 John 1:7; Acts 13:39; 1 Peter 2:24

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord; in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. 1 Corinthians 15:4; Hebrews 4:14; 1 John 2:1

We believe that all who, by faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become the children of God. John 1:12; Acts 16:30-31; Acts 20:21

We believe in separation unto the Lord from the world and in wholehearted devotion to the cause of Christ as the only Scriptural basis for a happy and useful Christian life. We believe also in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. 1 John 2:15-17; Romans 12:1-2

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; they that are saved to the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. John 5:28-29

We believe in the "blessed hope," the personal, the visible, and premillennial return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58

We believe in Christian baptism according to the Scriptures as an act of obedience by believers, but baptism is not necessary for salvation. Immersion is taught as the mode and is recommended by the church. Matthew 3:16; Acts 8:37-39; Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 10:48

We believe that the Lord's Supper is a memorial service for believers, and the partaking of it is in obedience to the words of Jesus Christ. Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30
