A native of the Imperial Valley of southern California, Paul leads the church through preaching the Word of God, pastoral care, strategic planning, and staff oversight. Paul has been Glenwood's senior pastor since the late 1980s. He holds an undergraduate degree from Biola University and an M.A. from the University of Oregon. He is also a graduate of Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon with both a Master's of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry. Paul also teaches at Western Seminary as an adjunct professor. Paul and his wife Nancy have four adult children and four grandchildren.
Staff
Ben Cunningham was born and raised in Northern California, where he pastored for 15 years prior to coming to Glenwood. He holds an undergraduate degree from Biola University in Biblical Studies and a Masters in Theology from Talbot Seminary. He is currently working on a Th.M. from Western Seminary. Ben oversees the Adult Equipping and LIFE Group ministries as the Director of Equipping. His passion is to see God’s people grow in their knowledge of God so that their lives change and point to Jesus. He and his wife Bree were married in 2002 and have four children. They love to hike, play music, repurpose furniture and enjoy an occasional board game.
Al Curtis served in private industry until 2001, when he joined Glenwood's staff as Director of Operations. Al's responsibilities include assisting Pastor Paul in the daily supervision of support staff, overall development of our 20 acre campus, budget and expense control, and Men's Ministries. Al also serves as elder on the Church Board, with shepherding and visitation as an emphasis. Al and his wife Terri have two kids and four grandkids.
Nancy Jackson is a graduate of Biola University and the University of Oregon, where she completed a Master's degree in teaching Spanish and English and also graduate course work in Education. Nancy leads large teams of volunteers throughout the year in various children’s ministries. Her overarching desire is to equip volunteers to purposefully model and communicate God's Word in such a way that children yearn to know, love and follow Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. Nancy and her husband Paul have four children and four grandchildren.
Andrew joined the Glenwood staff in 2018. Both Andrew and his wife Robin are from Ventura county in Southern California. The Zegans have a heart and passion for serving middle schoolers. He received his BA in Biblical studies from Eternity Bible College. Andrew’s vision as Director of Middle School ministries is to see students develop and grow long lasting relationships with Jesus. Andrew has worked in middle school ministries since 2011. Andrew and his wife Robin got married in early 2018.
Nate jumped into the Glenwood family in his senior year of High School. Throughout his journey, Nate was captivated by the rich story of the Scriptures and desires to help others enter into that story as well. After interning for just over a year, Nate began to serve alongside Andrew as the Assistant Director of Youth Ministries in February 2022. Nate holds a Bachelors in Bible / Theology and Church Leadership from Multnomah University and is working on his MDiv there. In his off time he's either with friends, on the trails, or taking a nap.
Self-proclaimed coffee snob, fitness enthusiast, and a forever faithful fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Erik serves as the primary community leader for Glenwood’s Young Adults. If you’re new to Glenwood and looking to get connected Erik is more than happy to help you get you plugged in and make our church your home. Prior to moving up to the northwest, he served as a high school pastor in Northern California. Erik married his wife, Rebekah, in 2015. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Theology from Biola University and an M.Div from Western Seminary.
Ben Rico works with the leadership team to implement the mission of Glenwood in leading music and Sunday worship, our media and technical support ministries, and providing pastoral care. Ben was born and raised in Chicago where he began playing music at a young age and went on to study cello and music in worship at North Park University. He has served as a worship leader and director for the last six years. He and his wife Linnea have two daughters.
Colleen Adent's background in performance and arranging is being put to good use each week at Glenwood Community Church as she prepares music for our worship services and special events. An accomplished pianist, Colleen has performed at a number of local as well as international venues. She is a graduate of Biola University in the field of piano performance. Colleen and her husband Nathan have three adult children and two grandchildren.
Michelle and her husband Matt have been a part of Glenwood for more than ten years. Michelle grew up in a small town on the Kitsap Peninsula (west of Seattle) and graduated from Evangel University with a degree in Business Management. She spent many years in the business world before starting a family. She has been active in serving at Glenwood for some time; she has served on the Women's Ministries board for four years, and she and her husband host a Life Group in their home. Michelle's desire is to encourage women in their relationship with Jesus and with each other. Michelle and Matt have two sons, Sam and Zak.
Office manager Judy Tremblay is responsible for day to day office operations, accounting processes, and a host of other things that enable us to function. Judy hosts our young adult Life Group with her husband Joe and has been a member at Glenwood for almost thirty years. Judy has two grown children and three grandchildren.
Erik Cummings assists Al Curtis as Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor. He oversees the maintenance team in the upkeep of the church grounds and buildings as well as coordinating event scheduling, set up, and clean up. He was born in Maine and moved to Vancouver with his family when he was four. Erik married his wife, Bethie, in early 2020.
Christa administrates Worship Arts and Media. Her wide range of skills helps keep Glenwood running smoothly. Christa enjoys many hobbies including swing dancing, piano, and crafting. Christa and her family have been part of Glenwood for many years.
Julianna works part time in Children’s Ministries. She lends her highly capable hands to support and encourage the infant through 5th grade teams. Julianna began attending Glenwood when she was three years old. She even met and married her middle school sweetheart, Jamie, at Glenwood and they have been married over twenty years. They have four grown children.
Andrea and her family have been a part of Glenwood for over a decade. Andrea helps in the front office in several administrative ways. She grew up in Portland and graduated from Oregon State University. She and her husband, Chris, have been married over twenty-five years and have three daughters. Andrea loves to take up her knitting needles whenever she has the chance.
